The Division of Neurosurgery at the University of Calgary is offering a
1-2
y fellowship in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery starting
July-August 2004. The applicant will be exposed to one of the broadest
fellowship experiences available, including MOVEMENT DISORDERS, PAIN,
PSYCHOSURGERY, STEREOTACTIC EPILEPSY and RADIOSURGERY. The successful
candidate will directly participate in a variety of research projects
and
novel therapies, including the newest technology in radiosurgery
(Novalis)
and new indications for therapeutic brain stimulation. More information

Unique resources at the University of Calgary include a comprehensive
Cancer
Centre, multidisciplinary Chronic Pain, Stereotactic Radiosurgery and
Movement Disorder Programs all within an academic Department of Clinical
Neurosciences (which includes Neurology, Neurosurgery and Physical
Medicine
and Rehabilitation), a well-funded Neuroscience Research Group, advanced
Imaging with a 3T human MRI and 9.4T Experimental Imaging Centre of the
National Research Council of Canada.
Applicants must have completed their residency in neurosurgery and be
either
board eligible (USA) or fellowship certified (Canada, UK, Australia,
NZ).
They must be eligible for licensure in Alberta and hold LMCC
certification.
